BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT
St. Patrick’s Catholic Parish – Keongo is a second Millennium parish erected in the year 2000, and it is one of the parishes in the Catholic Diocese of Kericho headed by His Lordship Rt. Rev. Alfred Rotich. The parish began on a small piece of land approximately ½ acre but up to date the Christians having contributed locally with a support of friends, we have approximately 3 acres now.
The parish has Seven outstations spread in the expansive Ainamoi Sub-county covering the administrative ward of Kapkurgerwet, part of Kipchimchim and Kapsaos wards with a population of close to 31,000 of which only 2500 are Catholics.
Since our establishment in 2007, we have served as a spiritual home for many families in Keongo. As part of the Catholic Diocese of Kericho, we remain faithful to Catholic Social Teaching and Tradition and open to all seeking to know, to love and follow Christ.
